CourseWalk is a mobile application designed specifically for amateur and professional Eventers. It uses GPS technology to record and display cross country courses, and is a useful tool for event riders who want to improve their cross country riding skills. With CourseWalk, riders can record the course track and distance, identify minute markers, take photos and videos of fences, and mark the location of compulsory flags.
In addition, CourseWalk offers a fence and photo gallery for easy viewing of pictures, a play function that retraces the entire course, and the ability to share the course on MyCourseWalk.com. Event organizers can print course maps off of MyCourseWalk.com, while riders can download courses from the website onto their phones. Conveniently, the app links to Eventing Dressage tests and Live Scoring.
One of the best features of CourseWalk is that it does not require cellphone reception or data connection to record and view course walks. However, it should be noted that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
